We took a quick 3 night cruise to kick off spring break. This time we cruised on Celebrity Cruise Line. This was a first for all of us. I was very impressed with the ship, Celebrity Silouette. The ship was very nice and very clean. The staff were amazing!

I always recommend flying in the day before your cruise leaves. I don't want to risk a delayed flight causing me to miss my cruise! We chose to fly into Ft. Lauderdale a day early so we had plenty of time to explore the area. Once we landed at FLL (very nice airport), we rented a car and drive to the Florida Everglades. This is something I had always wanted to do. After many recommendations from friends, we decided to do an airboat tour at Wooten's. This was so much fun!!!!! We also did the Swamp Buggy tour. The guides were very knowlegable and we learned a lot about the area.

The next morning we were up early and took an Uber to the Ft. Lauderdale port. The boarding process was very easy. We had already completed our check in on the Celebrity app, so we just needed our boarding pass(on the app) and our ID. (I recommend using your passport) Boarding the ship early means more time to explore the ship and enjoy a nice lunch. The weather was perfect for lounging by the pool!!!

Our first port was Key West, FL. I personally love this port. It's so pretty and there is so much history. The island is small and we were able to walk everywhere we needed. We skipped breakfast on the ship to eat at Blue Heaven - the food was amazing. We also booked an Old Town Trolley tour - it was great! I love a history tour! We did a little shopping and of course ate Key Lime Pie from Kermits. If you go to Key West, you can't miss seeing the Southermost Point - make sure you take a picture!
Nightlife on the Celebrity Silouette had something for everyone. Silent disco, 80s music, tribute to Broadway show, casino, and much more. That's one reason I like cruising, it's easy for everyone in your group to find something they enjoy.
Our second port was Nassau, Bahamas. People have lots of opinions about this port and some don't even like to get off here. If you have not been here recently, then you need to give Nassau another chance. The city spent millions to update and expand the port - it's very nice. Of course you can't visit Nassau without seeing the Queen's Staircase - it's so pretty. You should also head down to the Fish Fry area. It's an area full of local restaurants - lots of good seafood. Don't forget your Pina Colada!
